We are seeking a Front Office SQL Developer to join a well-established commodities trading business, supporting the technology and data platforms used by trading, risk, and commercial teams. Working closely with front-office stakeholders, you will develop and enhance the data infrastructure that underpins trading activity, market analysis, and operational decision-making. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering reliable, high-performance data solutions in a fast-paced trading environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop, optimise, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects supporting front-office operations
  • Enhance data models and reporting solutions across trading, pricing, positions, and risk data
  • Work closely with traders, analysts, and technology teams to deliver data-driven solutions
  • Improve the performance, quality, and reliability of core trading data platforms
  • Support business-critical reporting, analytics, and operational processes
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of internal applications and data workflows

Who You Are:

  • Strong commercial experience with SQL, including query optimisation and database design
  • Experience working within commodities, energy, financial markets, or another trading environment
  • Good understanding of relational database principles and data management
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders in a front-office setting
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language such as C# or other OOP languages
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Nice To Have:
