A high-performing global team is looking for an experienced Java / Python Engineer to help build and enhance critical backend platforms supporting complex risk, trading and data workflows. This is a hands‑on role focused on scalable engineering, distributed systems, large datasets and delivering robust solutions within a fast‑paced financial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and enhancing Java and Python-based backend services and risk data pipelines
  • Working with complex risk and trading datasets to support analytics, reporting and downstream processing
  • Developing APIs, automation tools and scalable distributed applications
  • Collaborating with technical and business stakeholders across risk, front‑office and engineering teams

Requirements:

  • Strong commercial experience with Java and/or Python within enterprise environments
  • Experience building backend services, APIs or distributed systems using technologies such as Spring Boot, FastAPI, Flask or Django
  • Strong SQL and data processing skills, with exposure to large-scale data environments
  • Previous experience working with risk platforms, risk data, trading, PnL or capital markets technology
