The role: My client is seeking a Network Performance / Network Test / QA Validation Lead to join their team. You will likely be in a Lead position currently, and will either have managerial experience or have the ability to manage a small team of Junior Engineers (2-4). Offices are Central London based, with expectations being 3 days a week in the office and 2 from home. You will need to have a valid driving license. There will be limited travel required with the position, likely once a month to parts of mainland Europe for short trips.
The successful candidate will stem from a Telco background and have strong hands-on experience around the Core Network. You should come from either a Mobile Network Operator (MNO), Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), or Tier 1 Supplier, and will have worked largely operated in Europe.
You will have skills around as many of the following as possible:
- Strong experience around Core Telco Networks
- Experience working for an MNO / MVNO / Tier 1 Supplier
- Good understanding of Network Validation, Testing, Performance and Quality
- Experience with Drive Testing useful
- CS (MSS/MGW, SBC, STP, SMSC, HLR, IVR)
- PS (SGSN/SGW, PGW, PCRF, DNS, AAA)
- IMS (CSCF, MRF, TAS, ePDG)
- Good understanding of standards and architectures (3GPP, IETF, GSMA etc.)
- Core Network Protocols (GTP, Gi, Sy, Gx, Gy, Ro, MAP, SIP, RTP, SMPP etc.)
- Working through logs to debug issues

- SIM / eSIM / BAP Testing
- Oracle / SQL
- Unix / Linux
