The role:

My client are looking for a Senior Network Engineer, comfortable working in a dynamic low latency environment. You will have experience ideally with Multicast technologies, and be able to participate in network automation via technologies such as Python and Ansible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement highly available network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, data centre, and cloud environments
  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into resilient and scalable network designs
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, including planning, execution, and vendor coordination
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to enhance performance, security, and operational efficiency
  • Provide escalation support (L3) for critical incidents affecting network performance or availability
  • Contribute to automation and monitoring initiatives, continuously improving network observability and reliability
  • Produce high-quality documentation and network diagrams to support operational transparency and future development

Required Experience:

  • Enterprise network engineering experience, ideally within high-performance or latency-sensitive environments
  • Expertise in core routing and switching protocols: OSPF, BGP, EVPN, STP, MLAG/vPC, VLAN/VxLAN
  • Proficiency in multicast technologies: PIM, IGMP, MSDP, SSM
  • Strong familiarity with Cisco and Arista platforms
  • Proven experience with data centre and office network buildouts
  • Deep understanding of network security concepts: AAA, control planes, device hardening
  • Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong scripting and automation capabilities (Python, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with observability and orchestration tools (Prometheus, Elastic Stack, Grafana)
