We're looking for an experienced End-to-End ION Subject Matter Expert to lead the design, implementation, integration and support of a global ION trading platform within a Front Office Investment Banking environment.

This is a hands-on role requiring deep expertise across the full ION ecosystem, working closely with Front Office users, development teams, infrastructure, vendors and business stakeholders to deliver strategic platform enhancements and maintain a highly available electronic trading environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical SME for the end-to-end ION platform across multiple business areas.
  • Lead the architecture, design and implementation of new ION environments and platform enhancements.
  • Own technical delivery for ION-related projects, upgrades, migrations and strategic initiatives.
  • Design and implement integrations between ION and internal/external trading systems.
  • Support the complete trade life cycle from order capture through execution, confirmations and downstream processing.
  • Provide technical leadership during production releases, upgrades and disaster recovery activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues across Front Office trading applications.
  • Work closely with traders, developers, infrastructure teams and third-party vendors to resolve business-critical issues.
  • Define best practices, standards and operational procedures for the ION platform.
  • Produce High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation, architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the wider application support and engineering teams.

Required Experience

  • Extensive experience supporting and delivering the ION Trading Platform within Investment Banking.
  • Strong understanding of Front Office Fixed Income trading environments.
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end ION implementations and platform integration.
  • Experience with ION architecture, deployment and platform configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic trading connectivity and market infrastructure.
  • Experience integrating ION with internal trading platforms and external market venues.
  • Strong understanding of the complete trade life cycle and Straight Through Processing (STP).
  • Experience leading complex technical projects from design through production.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Front Office, Technology and Business teams.
