Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Linux Engineer with a strong foundation in DevOps, automation, and Python scripting. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure and development teams to maintain, optimize, and automate mission-critical trading systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to expand their technical expertise within a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support, manage, and optimize Linux-based trading infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools and scripts using Python and other relevant technologies.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of trading systems.
  • Collaborate with software developers, network engineers, and traders to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Implement and manage configuration management and deployment automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, or similar).
  • Ensure security best practices are followed in system configurations and deployments.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • 1-6 years of experience as a Linux Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Linux systems administration, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and system integration.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall configurations, etc.).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for automation and efficiency.
  • Experience in a trading, finance, or high-frequency/low-latency environment is a plus but not required.
