The role
We're working with a leading global financial organisation looking to hire an experienced Backend Engineer to join a high-performing technology team focused on risk platforms. This is an opportunity to design and build scalable systems that power critical risk data and analytics, working on complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and/or Python.
- Build distributed services that support risk data processing and analytics.
- Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver robust technical solutions.
- Optimise system performance, reliability and scalability across enterprise platforms.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python.
- Experience building distributed systems or microservices within enterprise environments.
- Exposure to risk technology, risk data, or risk analytics within financial services.
- Solid understanding of system design, data processing and modern software engineering practices.
