This is a comprehensive desktop engineering position covering the full support spectrum from 1st through to 3rd line. You will be the technical backbone for the firm's users, resolving complex hardware and Microsoft 365 issues while driving efficiency through automation. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and take on new challenges within a time-critical, high-performance setting.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expert on-site and remote desktop support in a high-availability Windows environment
- Troubleshooting complex hardware, Microsoft 365, and identity/access-related issues
- Driving efficiency by automating deployments and system fixes using PowerShell and scripts
- Managing the full incident lifecycle and collaborating closely with internal infrastructure teams
- Providing end-to-end support (1st through to 3rd line) to ensure minimal downtime
- Participating in a rotational on-call support schedule to maintain 24/7 business continuity
Requirements
- Technical Core: Strong experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
- Experience: Practical background in fast-paced, time-critical environments (Industry or trading floor experience is highly desired)
- Automation: Ability to use PowerShell or scripting to streamline repetitive tasks
