A Tier 1 investment bank is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a rapidly growing front-office eTrading team. This role sits at the heart of the trading floor, where technology is a key revenue driver, and offers the opportunity to design and build mission-critical trading applications used directly by traders and investment teams. As a Java Software Engineer, you will take a leading role in the design and development of high-performance front-office trading systems, contributing directly to the bank’s electronic trading and investment platforms.
Key responsibilities:- Designing and developing high-performance Java applications from the ground up
- Building and enhancing front-office eTrading systems used in live markets
- Working closely with traders, product owners, and other front-office technology teams
- Applying best-in-class engineering standards, including clean architecture and TDD
- Contributing to technical leadership and driving engineering best practices across the team
