My client are seeking a talented Desktop Support Engineer with strong Trade Floor Support experience to join their team in London. You will be an experienced Engineer, used to working in high-pressure Trading environments, working quickly to resolve incidents where every second counts. This is an office-based role designed for those who thrive on the energy of a live trading floor.

This position requires a high level of technical proficiency and the ability to maintain composure under pressure. Engineers work rotating shifts between 7am–7pm on a fortnightly basis to ensure full coverage of the trading day, providing end-to-end support for the firm's elite user base.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing white-glove technical support directly to traders and high-profile stakeholders on the trade floor.
  • Rapidly resolving hardware and software incidents to minimize downtime in a high-stakes environment.
  • Managing and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 workstations and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Maintaining user accounts and permissions via Active Directory and group policies.
  • Deploying software and updates using SCCM / MECM to ensure a standardized desktop environment.
  • Supporting critical market data applications (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.) and VDI/Citrix environments.
  • Managing mobile devices and VoIP/telephony systems used by the trading teams.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Trade Floor Support within a financial or fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Deep technical knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Active Directory.
  • Proficiency with SCCM / MECM for deployment and desktop management.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Market Data Applications (e.g., Bloomberg).
  • Familiarity with Citrix / VDI and VoIP technologies.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts (7am-7pm) and remain office-based.
  • Desirable: SQL knowledge, advanced Trading Applications experience, or VBA scripting skills.
