The role: My client are seeking a Global SRE Lead to join their team. You will have overall responsibility for a team of over 20 globally distributed SREs, working to ensure that the Platform is at its optimum uptime. The successful candidate will likely stem from a Trading / Financial Services background. You will have experience with managing global teams. The role will predominantly focus on SRE strategy, stakeholder management and platform reliability. This is not a hands-off position. There will be an expectation to be involved in key incidents at a high level, and provide escalated support where required.
You should have a broad overview of some of the following technologies, and be well versed in SRE best practices:
- Linux
- Chef, Puppet or Ansible
- Kubernetes, Docker, or Podman
- CI/CD
- Python
- IaC – Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Pulumi, Bicep
- DR
- Block / Blob Storage
- HPC
