Locum Occupational Therapist (Band 6) – High Pay, Flexible Contract in East Midlands! Are you a Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding locum role in the East Midlands? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Location: East Midlands

Duration: 6 months

Schedule: Full time, Monday to Friday

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 6 months from start date (extension possible)

Rate of Pay: Competitive, high hourly rate

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Join our team as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist and play a key role in supporting adults with complex needs in a community/local authority setting.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of need with clients of various disabilities.
  • Create and implement personalised care and adaptation plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions, including major adaptations and specialist equipment provision.
  • Complete DFG applications and manual handling assessments.
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-agency professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records on electronic social care systems.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • A current and valid HCPC registration.
  • Substantial local authority experience.
  • Proven expertise in assessing for major adaptations and DFG applications.
  • Strong skills in manual handling techniques and equipment assessments.
  • Familiarity with Integrated Community Equipment Services (ICES) systems.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Working Hours & Contract Duration: This full-time role requires availability Monday to Friday. The contract is for an initial 6 months, with strong potential for extension based on service needs and performance.
