Are you an experienced GP Practice-Based Pharmacist looking for your next impactful locum position? A well-established GP surgery in Stafford is seeking a dedicated Independent Prescriber to join their clinical team. Location: Stafford

Start Date: July 2025

End Date: Ongoing

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute break)

Rate of Pay: £30.00 – £40.00 per hour DOE

Role Summary:

You’ll play a key role within the multidisciplinary team, supporting clinical services through structured medication reviews, chronic disease management, and safe prescribing. The practice is highly collaborative, with a focus on high-quality patient care and prescribing efficiency. Remote working may be considered after an initial settling-in period.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Undertake medication reviews and medicines optimisation
  • Manage long-term conditions in line with clinical guidelines
  • Prescribe confidently and appropriately as an IP
  • Work alongside GPs, nurses, and the wider team to deliver integrated care
  • Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation
What You’ll Need:
  • GPhC registration as a Pharmacist
  • At least 1 year of experience in general practice or primary care
  • Excellent clinical judgement and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and integrate into a team

This is a Monday to Friday position (9am–5pm, 30-minute break), starting in July with an ongoing duration. There is a high likelihood of long-term extension for the right candidate. Remote working options may be available once embedded into the service.
