Are you an experienced Biomedical Scientist with Histology expertise seeking a rewarding locum role in Cambridge? We have an excellent opportunity with great pay and flexibility!
Location: Cambridge
Duration: 2 month rolling contract
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £30 - 33 per hour DOE (umbrella equivalent)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performing histology lab tests and preparing samples for diagnostic analysis
- Carrying out microtomy, embedding, and staining procedures
- Ensuring adherence to high laboratory standards and proper sample handling
- Collaborating with senior scientists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Contributing to the development and implementation of quality control protocols
- Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Histology, including microtomy and embedding
- Knowledge of laboratory testing and specimen preparation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A dedication to providing high-quality, efficient laboratory services
- Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)
The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule, with 37.5 hours per week, and there is some flexibility where needed. The initial contract is for 2 months which will be on a rolling basis, subject to performance and service needs.
