We’re partnering with an ambitious, early-stage energy company as they scale their international operations. With a strong vision for responsible growth and governance, they are now seeking a Head of Risk & Compliance to design, implement and lead a best-in-class framework across the organisation.

The Opportunity

This is a rare greenfield role where you will have the opportunity to design and implement the frameworks and processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll have the autonomy and support to:

  • Build and embed a group-wide risk & compliance framework from scratch
  • Shape policies, controls and governance across multi-jurisdictional operations
  • Influence business strategy while ensuring the highest ethical and regulatory standards
  • Drive a culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing a robust, risk-based compliance programme across corporate and operational environments
  • Leading enterprise-wide risk assessments, including anti-bribery, sanctions and ethics risks
  • Overseeing due diligence, monitoring and investigations across third parties and transactions
  • Partnering with operational, legal, HSE and corporate teams to ensure end-to-end compliance integration
  • Acting as a key point of contact for regulators, auditors and external stakeholders
  • Delivering training, insights and reporting to senior leadership and Board level

About You

You’ll be a credible, commercially minded compliance leader who thrives in a build-phase environment:

  • Significant experience in risk, compliance, legal or governance roles
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, ideally within energy or complex international sectors
  • Proven ability to design policies, lead audits/investigations, and influence senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions and cultural environments
  • A proactive, hands-on leader with high integrity and sound judgement

If you bring experience in oil & gas and/or Arabic language capability, this would be highly desirable.
