Hunter Adams are delighted to be supporting our client with sourcing an experienced and proactive People Operations Manager to lead and enhance the operational foundations of their People function. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on professional who enjoys creating efficient, scalable processes and thrives at the intersection of people, systems, compliance, and business operations.
In this role, you will oversee key people operations activities, ensuring a seamless employee experience while maintaining operational excellence, compliance, and effective governance. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to support organisational growth and drive continuous improvement across people processes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage core People Operations activities across payroll, compensation, benefits administration, HR systems, employee lifecycle processes, immigration support, and policy management.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Oversee and optimise HR systems, processes, and data management to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and business leaders to support organisational planning and operational effectiveness.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high‑quality delivery and value.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across People Operations, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and enhance the employee experience.
- Maintain accurate people data and reporting to support decision‑making and compliance requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of people policies, procedures, and operational frameworks.
- Significant experience in People Operations, HR Operations, or a similar role.
- Strong experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, or evolving business environment.
- Proven operational expertise across payroll, benefits, HR systems, employee data management, and compliance.
- Solid understanding of UK employment practices and people operations best practices.
- Experience implementing, managing, or optimising HRIS platforms such as HiBob, BambooHR, Workday, Personio, or similar systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and a structured approach to problem‑solving.
- Comfortable working independently, taking ownership, and building scalable processes in changing environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience partnering across multiple business functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
