About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with experience in the access, scaffolding, or wider construction industry.
Working from the company's North London office, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining strong client and subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the commercial aspects of multiple access and scaffolding projects.
Prepare cost plans, budgets, valuations, and final accounts.
Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to maximise profitability.
Prepare and submit interim valuations and applications for payment.
Assess and manage variations, change orders, and contractual claims.
Procure and manage subcontractor packages, including payments and final accounts.
Support project teams with commercial advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Produce accurate cost reports, forecasts, and financial updates for senior management.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the access, scaffolding, or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
Experience managing project costs from inception through to completion.
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial management software.
Full UK driving licence.
