Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial management of multiple projects from pre-contract through to final account
- Take ownership of project financial forecasting, cashflow, and budget control
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact for clients and key stakeholders
- Prepare and manage interim valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
- Manage variations, ensuring they are instructed, priced, and agreed in a timely manner
- Review subcontractor applications and ensure value for money across the supply chain
- Support tendering, estimating, and pricing activities across pre-construction and live projects
- Lead commercial reporting, providing regular updates on performance, risks, and opportunities
Qualifications
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within construction, ideally within social housing or FRA works
- Strong understanding of standard construction contracts
- Experience managing large-scale projects and full commercial lifecycle
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage cost, risk, and change
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial reporting tools
- Experience working with Local Authorities or Registered Housing Providers (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
