Hunt & Palmer Cargo Charters Ltd, a dynamic and fast paced subsidiary of the Hunt & Palmer organisation is seeking to recruit both experienced and trainee aircraft charter brokers to join our established team of specialists based at the Group head office near Horsham, West Sussex. The role of a charter broker is demanding yet immensely rewarding and if appointed, you will be providing air freight transport solutions to our clients all over the world. This is an exceptional opportunity to grow your career with one of the world’s most respected aircraft charter companies at an exciting chapter in our corporate development. We particularly welcome applications from candidates who are already working as a broker in the air cargo industry however interested persons with previous experience of the air freight market in other capacities are also encouraged to apply, as full training is available to successful applicants for the trainee positions. We are looking for people who are highly motivated individuals, with a strong interest in the commercial aviation industry and the desire to succeed in their career. You do not need a degree level of education to work with us and we look to your industry experience, problem solving abilities and commercial acumen as being considerably more important for these roles. You will, however, need to demonstrate a high standard of English language, with excellent written and oral communication skills, a good level of numeracy and be IT literate with competence in the use of standard MS Office applications. If successful, you will play an important part in the continued development of the Company’s business and there will be a requirement to travel both in the UK and overseas from time to time. Applicants should also note the integral requirement to be part of the Company’s out of hours ‘on call’ duty roster, which will require regular working in the evening and/or weekends (including Saturdays, Sundays) and public holidays in rotation with other staff. An excellent remuneration package, including competitive salary, pension, company bonus scheme and attractive benefits options are offered to the successful applicants.
