Salary: £14.50 - £17.00 per hour DOE

Hours: Part time (20 – 25 hours per week – hours flexible to suit but must cover 5x days per week)

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive person with either HR administration or solid general administration skills to join our HR department on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will work proactively and take ownership of all the recruitment and onboarding administration whilst also assisting with HR projects. You are a natural ‘people’ person and enjoy conversing with others. You are proactive in your approach to work, always looking for consistent improvement. You enjoy learning and furthering your knowledge. To demonstrate our commitment to your development, HFG will support you to complete the CIPD Level 3 qualification if this is of interest. Job function and duties

  • Recruitment and onboarding:
    • Taking ownership of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) on People HR (the company’s HRIS)
    • Liaising with line managers regarding new roles to be advertised
    • Liaising with all candidates, arranging interviews and coordinating these with the line manager. Providing feedback to candidates
    • Start onboarding process with those who are successful
    • Proactive with online headhunting activities
    • Assisting at recruitment shows/events (county shows, jobs fairs etc)
    • Assisting with organising and attending HFG careers evenings
    • Assisting with apprentice recruitment drive
    • Undertake all onboarding administration including all documentation gathering and inputting including drafting of contracts
    • Take ownership of all apprentice onboarding including liaising with Pro VQ at each stage of the process. Complete all Pro VQ onboarding documentation to alleviate Service Managers
    • Coordinate apprentice travel for the group to reduce cost of individual travel every time each year group travels up to Nottingham
    • Conduct HR Induction process with all new starters
    • Conduct exit interviews with all leavers and complete offboarding process
  • Ad Hoc Tasks:
    • Potential to support with the administration in Employee Relations cases, taking notes, providing templates, support with simple investigations etc.
    • Keeping all data uploaded onto People HR up to date
    • Conduct all administration in association with the work experience process
    • Sign relevant employees up to the company’s private health insurance benefit
    • Answer daily systems and policy queries
    • Take ownership of coordinating the ‘refer a friend’ scheme
    • Supporting on relevant HR projects
    • Any other tasks as reasonably required

Skills and attributes

  • Previous HR Administration experience advantageous
  • Skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook diary essential
  • Previous experience of using People HR or other similar HRIS would be advantageous
  • Naturally assertive with excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Highly diplomatic and discrete with the ability to handle highly sensitive matters confidentially
  • Ability to form effective relationships with people at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills both face to face, over the phone and in writing
