Our South Yorkshire Primary Cluster is in need of a Facilities Manager. The purpose of the post is to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all estate, premises, and facilities functions across the four Cluster Primary schools. The role ensures that buildings and grounds are safe, compliant, well‑maintained, and conducive to high‑quality teaching and learning, while delivering best value and efficiency. This includes managing maintenance programmes, health and safety compliance, capital projects, and contractor performance, as well as supporting sustainability initiatives and long‑term estate planning.
The post holder will work closely with school leaders and Executive Business Manager to ensure that facilities services align with the Trust’s educational objectives and statutory obligations, creating environments that support both staff and pupils to thrive.
ABOUT THE SOUTH YORKSHIRE PRIMARY CLUSTER
- Bank End Primary Academy: A one‑form entry primary school for children aged three to eleven years old, committed to becoming a genuinely excellent school.
- High Hazels Academy: Formed in January 2015, serving a vibrant and diverse community of learners with well-managed buildings and high-quality learning spaces.
- Hunningley Primary Academy: A two‑form entry primary school for children aged three to eleven years, striving to nurture talents and interests in a supportive environment.

Terms and Conditions of employment:
- Location: You will be based in each school for 1 day a week however this is subject to change dependent upon the needs of the schools.
- Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 28 hours per week, generally covering the hours of 8 am – 3.30 pm with a 30 minute unpaid break.
- Ill Health Pay: Our Policy allows for a five‑year sliding qualification period, at the end of which, you will be entitled to full pay for 50 working days and half pay for 50 working days.
- Holidays: You will be working 43 weeks out of 52 but will be paid for 49.47 weeks to cover your holiday allocation, in addition to public holidays.
- Pension Scheme: You are eligible to be a member of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Death in Service: Your beneficiaries are entitled to a lump sum payment in the event of your death in service.
- Private Healthcare Scheme: You are eligible to opt into the Group’s chosen Provider for Healthcare.
