We are looking for an engineer to join our Formwork and Shoring international team to work under the responsibility of the Head of Infrastructure Engineering.
Job Responsibilities
- Temporary Works design for Infrastructure projects
- Management of all aspects of Temporary Works (Formwork and Falsework)
- Develop original and creative temporary works solutions, thinking outside the box to address unique project challenges while maintaining safety, functionality, and cost-effectiveness
- Calculations of steel structures or single parts in accordance with Eurocodes
- Utilize structural analysis software to perform structural calculations for temporary works and validate the stability, safety, and feasibility of designs
- Produce detailed structural calculations, drawings, and documentation for temporary works, ensuring all designs comply with applicable codes and regulations
- Production of method statements, assembly and dismantling procedures
- Work within BIM environment, utilizing BIM software for the coordination of temporary works, ensuring continuous collaboration with other disciplines
- Responsible for generating accurate material lists and closely tracking project costs to ensure adherence to the budget
- Work closely with clients, site engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure temporary works are implemented efficiently and safely on-site
- Travel to jobsites to participate in meetings and carry out site inspections
- Provide engineering support to resolve any design or on-site issues related to temporary works, including troubleshooting and offering practical solutions
- Continuously gather different types of information from internal and external stakeholders to produce best practices and react to the project and customer needs
- Request and evaluate tenders and offers for custom steel structures in cooperation with the Supply Chain Management
- Assist the Sales teams on client meetings, with presentations and technical support
Requirements
- Graduation in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years proven experience in Temporary Works design, preferably in the infrastructure sector
- Experienced in using Autocad
- Proficient in structural design and analysis software packages
- Experience working in a BIM environment and utilizing BIM tools
- Experience with a leading F&S company is a plus
- Capability to perform 3D modeling is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Well versed in the Microsoft Office applications
- Proactive/ takes initiative
- Moves quickly and effectively
- Ability to prioritise & meet deadlines
- Customer-Oriented with a strong commitment to service excellence
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
