About PandaFresh
PandaFresh is a wholly-owned subsidiary of HungryPanda Group, specialising in Asian fresh groceries and daily essentials for overseas Chinese communities. With an established presence across the UK, we integrate online shopping platforms with offline physical stores and dark stores, offering thousands of specialty products from China and across Asia. As we continue to scale our Nottingham operations, we are looking for a responsible, hands-on Warehouse Specialist to join our team and ensure the smooth, efficient running of our warehouse operations.
Role Overview
This is a critical core operations role, responsible for full-cycle management of our Nottingham warehouse. You will oversee all key warehouse functions – from inbound goods receipt, inventory management and system maintenance, to warehouse layout planning, cost control and emergency response. You will work closely with the operations and delivery teams to meet strict operational KPIs, uphold high product quality standards, and deliver a premium service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead warehouse planning and optimisation, including layout design, material management, and storage equipment planning to maximise operational efficiency
- Manage warehouse budget and cost control, monitor and reduce internal loss, fulfillment costs and other operational expenses, and take timely corrective action on budget overruns
- Coordinate the transportation and transfer of goods, ensure timely and accurate delivery of inbound and outbound stock
- Oversee daily goods receipt and inspection: verify product quality and quantity, ensure accurate and timely inventory entry into the company’s internal system
- Promptly handle and resolve various warehouse emergencies and operational issues, minimise business disruption
- Take full ownership of assigned warehouse equipment, ensure proper maintenance and safe use of all on-site facilities
- Work closely with the management team to meet and exceed strict operational KPIs, while consistently upholding high quality standards
- Report any supply chain delays, inventory discrepancies or operational issues to the line manager in a timely manner, and provide constructive feedback to support process improvement
What We’re Looking For
Must Have (Essential, Non-Negotiable Requirements)
- Fluent in both spoken and written Mandarin Chinese (required for daily communication and operations)
- Basic English proficiency for daily work communication
- Ability to accurately manage inventory and operate warehouse management systems
- Strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to take full ownership of your work and assigned equipment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and consistently meet strict KPIs while maintaining high quality standards
- Willing and available to work 6 days per week
- Valid right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role)
Nice to Have (Bonus Points)
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, fresh food/grocery retail or FMCG industry
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and standard inventory management processes
- Experience in budget control or warehouse layout planning
- Hands-on experience in a fast-growing retail or e-commerce environment
