About the Role:
As a Nursery Room Manager, you will be a key player in creating a safe, enriching space where children aged 0-4 can explore, learn, and thrive. With our commitment to outdoor learning and a forest school approach, your role will support children's development through play, positive interaction, and meaningful activities.
Responsibilities:
- To lead the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum for guidance and maintain accurate and effective children's records.
- To lead the room in implementing an effective daily routine.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
- To actively participate in team meetings, supervisions and appraisals.
- To oversee cleaning rotas and ensure rooms and garden are clean and tidy at all times.
- To support and train apprentice educators.
- To ensure that adequate records are kept and updated regularly.
- To promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers.
- Able to open and close the setting. Complete Risk assessments in the morning.

About Our Nursery:
Nestled in the heart of Chalfont St Peter, our newly renovated nursery offers a warm, inspiring environment where children can thrive. Thoughtfully designed with beautiful rooms, exceptional resources, and exciting outdoor gardens, our setting sparks curiosity and joy - ensuring every child is confident, happy, and fully prepared for the journey ahead.
Capacity: 70 children (ages 3 months to 4 years)
- Baby Room (0-2 years, 18 places)
- Toddler Room (2-3 years x 24 places)
- Pre-school (3-4 years x 28 places)
Opening Hours: 7:30 am - 6:30 pm
What We're Looking For:
- A Level 3+ Early Years Qualification (essential)
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, SEN, CIN, and Child Protection procedures
- Experience as a Room Leader or in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for play-based learning
