We are looking for a highly skilled Video Editor to join the Hungry Bear Media team working on a new online series, producing high-performance long-form content to be placed on YouTube. This is an exciting office-based role working with a small team of Editors and playing a major part in the look and feel of the series. You should be fast, creative, and deeply tuned into what makes YouTube content perform.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Edit 1 - 2 long-form YouTube videos per week to a high professional standard
- Shape pacing, storytelling, and retention with a strong understanding of YouTube audiences
- Collaborate closely with the Producers on workflow and deadlines
- Use YouTube analytics to continuously improve subsequent video performance
- Leverage AI tools to enhance production (motion graphics, assets, workflows)
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- 5+ years professional editing experience (Premiere Pro & After Effects)
- Strong storytelling instincts and ability to edit for engagement and retention
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Experience working with YouTube content
- Confident communicator who can work autonomously and within a team
- Experience uploading to YouTube and utilising platform tools to drive performance
ADVANTAGEOUS:
- Experience in lifestyle programming.
- Motion graphics and Photoshop skills
- Experience using AI tools in video workflows
Ideally starting Monday 22nd June (29/06 would be a possibility for the right candidate), the initial term will be four weeks, with the potential to extend to a year-long contract.
