SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT PRODUCER

ABOUT US We are one of the UK's most successful independent television production companies and we are producing an ambitious new digital media brand operating at the intersection of premium storytelling, culture and community.

We work with some of the most recognisable talent in entertainment, media and television — producing content that spans long-form editorial and high-impact social.

We move fast, hold ourselves to a high creative standard, and believe that the best social media doesn't just interrupt culture — it creates it.

We're building a team of exceptional people who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.

If you want to work on content that genuinely matters to millions of people, this is the role for you.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious content creator and social media practitioner ready to step up.

Reporting directly into our Social Media Manager, you will be a core part of a small, high-performing team — getting your hands on brilliant content, world‑class talent, and a brand with real ambition behind it.

You are not a scheduler.

You are a maker.

You will shoot, edit, write, and publish — and you will care deeply about every piece of content that goes out.

You'll be supported and mentored as you develop, but you will be expected to bring your own creative instincts and initiative from day one.

This is a role with genuine growth potential as the brand scales.

YOUR MISSION

To support the delivery of high-quality, platform‑native social content across our key channels — contributing to both the creative output and the operational rhythm that keeps the brand showing up consistently, compellingly, and on time.

  • OUTCOMES
  • Content delivery: Produce and publish a regular cadence of social content across Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook and You Tube Shorts — on brief, on brand, and on schedule.
  • Shoot and edit: Create short‑form video content to a high standard using mobile‑first and desktop editing tools — from capture through to final publish‑ready cut.
  • Creative contribution: Bring fresh ideas and cultural awareness to the team — flagging trends, formats, and opportunities before they peak.
  • Operational support: Help maintain the content calendar, asset libraries, and publishing workflow so the team runs like clockwork.
  • Performance awareness: Monitor content performance and support the Social Media Manager in reporting on what's working and what to do more of.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports as directed by the Social Media Manager.
  • DAY TO DAY
  • Shoot and edit short‑form video content — including on‑location shoots with talent, event coverage, behind‑the‑scenes, interview clips, and reactive social moments.
  • Write captions, scripts, and on‑screen text that are sharp, on‑brand, and platform‑appropriate.
  • Publish and schedule content across Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook and You Tube Shorts.
  • Support the Social Media Manager in developing and maintaining the monthly content calendar.
  • Monitor trends, sounds, formats and cultural moments across platforms — bringing recommendations proactively to the team.
  • Manage community engagement across channels — responding to comments and DMs in the brand voice, escalating where needed.
  • Maintain organised asset libraries, shot lists and content logs.
  • Support briefing of external freelancers (photographers, designers) when required.
  • Pull weekly performance data and flag key insights to the Social Media Manager.
  • Be present on shoots and at events — sometimes outside standard hours — to capture content in the moment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience & Skills

  • 2–3 years' experience in social media, content creation, or digital production — agency, in‑house, or media environment.
  • Confident shooting and editing video to a high standard using mobile‑first tools (Cap Cut, i Phone/Android) and at least one desktop editing tool (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent).
  • Strong Instagram literacy — you understand what performs, why it performs, and how to replicate it without being derivative.
  • Working knowledge of Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts and Facebook — including platform‑specific formats and best practices.
  • Solid copywriting instincts — concise, engaging, and able to adapt tone of voice.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail — you can manage multiple pieces of content in flight without dropping the ball.
  • Some experience working in or around media, entertainment, film or TV is an advantage.
  • Comfortable working at pace in a small team where priorities can shift quickly.
  • The Person
  • You are genuinely passionate about social media and digital content — this is not just a job to you.
  • You are culturally switched on: you're on the apps, you spot the trends early, and you have a point of view on what good looks like.
  • You are proactive and solutions‑focused — you don't wait to be told; you bring ideas and get on with it.
  • You take pride in your output and care about the craft, however small the asset.
  • You are collaborative, easy to work with, and understand how to operate professionally around high‑profile talent and demanding stakeholders.
  • You are hungry to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility as the brand scales.
  • WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Within the first 60 days, you will be shooting and editing content independently, publishing to a consistent schedule, and contributing creative ideas to the team.

Within 6–12 months, you will be trusted to lead on specific content workstreams, manage shoot days with minimal oversight, and play a meaningful role in shaping how the brand shows up online.

  • THE PACKAGE
  • Hybrid working: Minimum 3 days in our London office
  • Direct mentorship from an experienced social media practitioner
  • Access to world‑class talent, productions, and creative environments
  • Real scope for progression as the brand grows
