Our client is an established specialist contractor looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in pricing, securing and managing painting and decorating contracts from initial enquiry through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Survey properties and structures to assess works required.
  • Price and estimate painting and decorating projects, including labour, materials, resources and programme requirements.
  • Prepare well-presented and competitive tender packages.
  • Produce risk assessments and method statements, ensuring health and safety procedures are followed throughout each project.
  • Manage contracts from start to finish, ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, quality, safety and commercial expectations.
  • Oversee and manage site-based operatives.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, internal teams and site staff throughout each project.

Requirements

  • Experience pricing painting and decorating projects.
  • Proven experience winning work through competitive tendering.
  • Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
  • Experience managing site-based operatives.
  • Experience running contracts from start to finish.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
