Our client is a specialist joinery contractor delivering high-quality joinery packages for commercial workspaces across London. They work closely with leading design and build contractors, producing bespoke joinery solutions for office and workplace fit-out projects.

Due to continued project demand, they are seeking a Joinery Designer to join their technical team in a hybrid role.

Role Overview

The Joinery Designer will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawing packages to support manufacture and client approval. This role will suit a technically strong designer with experience in commercial joinery and workplace fit-out environments. The position offers hybrid working: 3 days office-based and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing detailed technical drawing packs for joinery manufacture.
  • Preparing client and contractor sign-off drawings.
  • Interpreting architectural and design information to develop buildable joinery solutions.
  • Coordinating with internal manufacturing teams to ensure accuracy and buildability.
  • Supporting design and build contractors throughout the drawing and approval process.
  • Managing drawing revisions and maintaining drawing registers.
Software & Technical Requirements
  • Proficient in Autodesk Inventor (preferred).
  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or Fusion 360 will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of joinery detailing, materials and construction methods.
Candidate Profile
  • Background in joinery design for commercial or workplace fit-out projects.
  • Strong technical drawing and detailing capability.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced D&B environment.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000, depending on experience. Hybrid working: 3 days office / 2 days home.
