Service Projects Engineer Roles/Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys to assess project scope and requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success.
  • Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning tasks, including point-to-point checks, panel modifications, and system integration.
  • Configure and modify project software and graphics as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and site regulations.
  • Provide system demonstrations and user training to clients.
  • Update project documentation, including wiring diagrams and operational descriptions.

Service Projects Engineer Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the UK BMS industry as a service, project, or commissioning engineer.
  • Strong knowledge of non-proprietary protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and M-Bus.
  • Experience with BMS software and graphics (e.g., Trend, Tridium, Distech, Siemens).
  • Electrical competence with the ability to understand and modify control panel drawings.
  • Familiarity with HVAC plant operations and controls.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • A full UK driving licence is preferred for projects outside of London.
