This is a senior, hands-on position with responsibility for both the regional sales strategy and estimating function.

Reporting directly to the board, you will take ownership of new business development, key client relationships, tender strategy and the performance of the regional sales and estimating teams.

The business already has a strong presence and established client base across London, but has ambitious plans to increase its market share significantly.

This is an opportunity to shape that growth rather than simply maintain an existing operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the sales strategy for London and the South East
  • Identify and secure new commercial flooring projects and client relationships
  • Build relationships with main contractors, fit-out contractors, developers, consultants and end users
  • Develop opportunities across commercial offices, CAT A and CAT B fit-outs, refurbishment, education, healthcare, hospitality and leisure
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business
  • Represent the company at meetings, networking events and industry functions
  • Manage the regional sales pipeline, conversion rates and performance against targets
  • Oversee the estimating function and ensure tenders are accurate, competitive and submitted on time
  • Review tender opportunities and establish which projects should be prioritised
  • Support commercial negotiations and major bid submissions
  • Lead, mentor and develop the sales and estimating teams
  • Improve collaboration between Sales, Estimating, Operations and Commercial departments
  • Work closely with the directors to shape the long-term direction of the London business

About You

You will ideally have

  • Senior sales, business development, estimating or pre-construction experience within commercial or contract flooring
  • A strong understanding of the London construction and interior fit-out market
  • Experience securing commercial flooring packages for workplace, education, healthcare, hospitality, leisure or refurbishment projects
  • Established relationships with main contractors, fit-out contractors, developers, consultants or end users
  • Experience leading or developing a sales, estimating or pre-construction team
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • A proven ability to identify opportunities and convert them into secured projects
  • An entrepreneurial and proactive approach to business development
  • The confidence to operate at board level while remaining actively involved in winning work

What’s on Offer?

  • Competitive basic salary
  • Attractive bonus and commission structure
  • Company vehicle
  • Hybrid working
  • Direct access to the company’s senior leadership team
  • Autonomy to shape and grow the London and South East operation
  • Support from an established estimating and operational team
  • Strong pipeline of repeat business
  • Long-term progression towards a senior directorship position

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious commercial flooring professional who wants the freedom and backing to develop a region, build a team and make a measurable impact on the growth of an established contractor
