About the Company
Our client is a residential contractor delivering services across planned works and live housing environments. Due to increased workload within their Cleaning Division, they are looking to appoint a Cleaning Supervisor on an ongoing 6-month contract to oversee delivery across East London sites.
This role will focus on residential schemes, including communal areas, void properties and post-works cleans.
The Role
The Cleaning Supervisor will manage cleaning operatives across multiple residential sites in East London, ensuring programmes are met, standards are maintained and Health & Safety is upheld at all times. This is a hands-on supervisory position suited to someone confident managing teams within live residential environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise cleaning teams across residential sites
- Allocate daily and weekly work schedules
- Ensure communal, void and post-refurbishment cleans are delivered to required standards
- Carry out regular inspections and quality checks
- Monitor productivity and ensure works are completed within programme
- Manage materials, equipment and stock levels
- Conduct inductions and toolbox talks
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety procedures
- Liaise with Site Managers, client representatives and residents where required
- Manage timesheets, attendance and basic reporting
- Resolve on-site issues efficiently
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor within residential or social housing environments
- NVQ in Cleaning / Facilities Management or relevant trade (essential)
- SSSTS (essential)
- Strong knowledge of cleaning standards and COSHH
- Experience working in live/occupied residential settings
- Organised, proactive and able to manage teams effectively
This is an immediate requirement for an ongoing 6-month contract, with potential for extension depending on workload.
