Overview
Currently working with a leading subcontractor looking to appoint an experienced Piling Estimator to join their pre-construction team. This role offers exposure to a wide range of piling disciplines while providing long-term development and a modern, flexible working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with strong technical knowledge and a background in specialist piling who wants to step into a forward-thinking, supportive contractor with a healthy pipeline of work.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing detailed estimates for piling projects across multiple techniques
- Carrying out take-offs, BOQs, and pricing from drawings and specifications
- Supporting tender submissions, cost plans, and value engineering
- Reviewing geotechnical reports and assisting with early-stage technical assessments
- Liaising with engineers, clients, and internal design teams
- Managing the tender process from initial enquiry through to submission
- Assisting the business development and pre-construction team with bid strategy
Required Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in piling estimating, including:
- CFADriven piling
- SFA
- Sheet piling
- Steel tubular piling
- Restricted access piling
You must be confident delivering full-cycle estimates and producing competitive, technically robust bids.
