Following continued growth and internal restructuring, they are now looking to appoint a Production Manager to support the delivery of technically complex fabrication and build projects within the museum and exhibition space.

The Role

This is a key position within the business, working closely with design, project management and workshop teams to ensure the successful delivery of bespoke builds. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the production lifecycle from design handover through to workshop build and site installation.

  • Translating technical drawings into practical build solutions, working closely with CAD/design teams.
  • Managing materials, fabrication processes and construction methods across multiple projects.
  • Coordinating internal teams including joinery, scenic build, finishing and installation crews.
  • Liaising with Project Managers to ensure programme alignment, budgets and delivery milestones.
  • Managing external suppliers and specialist subcontractors where required.
  • Supporting installation phases on-site when needed.
  • Ensuring all works are delivered in line with H&S and quality standards.

The Candidate

Candidates must come from a fabrication-led background with clear experience in physical build environments. This is not an events-led production role.

Key requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Production Manager / Workshop Manager / Senior Build Manager.
  • Strong background within museum, exhibition, scenic build or bespoke fabrication environments.
  • Solid understanding of materials, joinery, metalwork, props or scenic construction.
  • Experience managing workshop teams and production output.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and collaborate with CAD/design teams.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and fabrication processes.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience working within museum or exhibition design & build companies.
  • Exposure to high-end, bespoke or one-off builds.
  • Basic CAD understanding.
