Roles & Responsibilities

  • Producing mechanical building services designs from initial brief through to construction stage
  • Reviewing specifications, architectural drawings, and room data sheets
  • Designing mechanical systems including HVAC, ventilation, heating, cooling, and public health services
  • Supporting Design & Build projects across commercial building services environments
  • Coordinating with contract management, estimating, CAD/BIM, and site delivery teams
  • Conducting site visits, surveys, and attending client and consultant meetings
  • Presenting technical designs to professional teams and project stakeholders
  • Ensuring designs comply with current industry regulations and HTM standards
  • Supporting project delivery teams throughout implementation stages
  • Working to programme deadlines across multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience within Mechanical Building Services Design
  • HNC/HND or Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong Design & Build project experience
  • Excellent knowledge of building services design software packages
  • Working knowledge of CAD/BIM and Revit advantageous
  • Good understanding of BMS and control systems
  • Knowledge of current building regulations and HTM standards
  • Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
