Our client is one of the UK’s longest-established providers of fall protection and height safety systems, delivering specialist installation, inspection, and compliance services to clients across construction, retail, healthcare, education, food & beverage, and more. As part of a wider group and following sustained growth, they are now seeking a Height Safety Engineer to join their specialist team.
Whether you have prior experience in fall protection or come from a broader engineering, inspection, or site-based background, full training is provided.
Responsibilities:
- As a Height Safety Engineer, you will install, commission, and certify fall protection and height safety systems at customer sites across the UK.
- Conduct inspections, testing, and recertification of installed systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Diagnose and carry out repairs or modifications where required.
- Produce detailed inspection reports and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with site contacts and clients, maintaining a professional, service-led approach.
- Support client training on safe use of installed systems.
- Assist with PPE inspections and highlight on-site improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with the contracts team to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
- Experience in engineering, site-based installation, technical inspections, or safety systems (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication skills with a personable, professional manner.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to complete technical records accurately.
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight as required.
