Our client, a well-established and dynamic construction business, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team at their Leicester head office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercial leadership and oversight across a portfolio of over 50+ live projects.
  • Supervise and support a recently appointed Quantity Surveyor, while collaborating closely with the wider Contracts and Estimating departments.
  • Work closely with and report directly to the Commercial Director, with ongoing collaboration on strategic commercial decisions.
  • Attend monthly Directors’ meetings to deliver commercial reporting, raise issues, and contribute to operational discussions.
  • Ensure financial efficiency, risk management, and contract compliance across all live projects.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor role within the construction sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  • Leadership qualities to mentor junior staff and support wider team development.
