We are working with an established passive fire protection contractor looking to appoint an experienced Lead Passive Fire Protection Surveyor. This is a hands-on position where you will take responsibility for the full surveying process, from initial site inspection through to reporting and supporting project pricing. The role would suit an experienced Passive Fire Surveyor who is comfortable dealing with clients, coordinating surveys and providing technically accurate reports.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out fire compartmentation, fire stopping and fire door surveys
  • Oversee and coordinate passive fire surveys across multiple sites
  • Identify defects and non-compliant installations
  • Produce detailed survey reports and recommendations
  • Review findings against relevant regulations, standards and manufacturer guidance
  • Prepare survey information to support quotations and project pricing
  • Coordinate survey programmes, RAMS, labour and equipment
  • Attend client meetings and site visits
  • Investigate non-conformances and maintain accurate records
  • Support and mentor other surveyors where required
  • Assist with tenders and wider business development opportunities
  • Ensure works remain compliant with health & safety and quality standards

Experience Required

  • Previous experience surveying passive fire protection works
  • Strong knowledge of fire stopping, compartmentation and fire doors
  • Previous hands-on passive fire installation experience
  • Good understanding of relevant fire safety regulations and standards
  • Experience producing technical survey reports
  • Ability to identify defects and recommend appropriate remedial works
  • Experience with pricing, estimating or preparing quotations would be advantageous
  • Confident client-facing communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
