Our client is an established contractor operating within the Passive Fire Protection sector. They are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their growing pre-construction team and support with pricing, coordination, and tender activity across a range of projects.
Role Overview
The Assistant Estimator will assist with the preparation of cost estimates, tender submissions, and project documentation while gaining hands-on exposure to the full pre-construction process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with early experience in estimating who’s looking to develop within a specialist contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Support with preparing accurate cost estimates and tender documentation.
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope of works.
- Research and obtain material, supplier, and subcontractor quotes.
- Assist in analysing project costs and tracking budgets.
- Coordinate information between internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and pricing records.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Assistant Estimator or similar in construction.
- Understanding of quantity take-offs and basic estimating principles.
- Strong Excel and general IT skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
