Overview
Our client is one of the UKβs longest-established providers of fall protection and height safety systems, delivering specialist installation and inspection services to clients across construction, retail, healthcare, education, food & beverage, and more. They are seeking a Lead Safety Technician to join their site installation team. Full training is provided, including the opportunity to work toward an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Safety Systems Installation.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission fall protection products at customer sites across the UK
- Carry out repairs, modifications, and recertifications of systems
- Liaise with site contacts and clients, maintaining a professional, service-led approach
- Complete inspection reports and plans identifying system compliance
- Support training of client teams on installed systems
- Assist with PPE inspections and identify on-site sales opportunities where appropriate
- Communicate with the contracts team during ongoing works
Requirements
- Experience in site-based installation, technical inspections, or safety systems (preferred but not essential)
- Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Good communication skills and a personable, professional manner
- Basic computer literacy and ability to complete site records accurately
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay overnight as required
- Team player with a safety-first approach and high standards of workmanship
- Full product training and progression into NVQ Level 3 Safety Systems Installer
