An expanding civil engineering contractor is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor with experience in highways or infrastructure to support commercial delivery across key regional projects.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Support the delivery of highways and infrastructure projects from a commercial perspective
  • Manage subcontractor accounts and aid in procurement processes
  • Monitor project cost, risk, and cashflow
  • Attend site and client meetings as needed
  • Ensure contract compliance and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

  • Experience in a QS or Assistant QS role within civil engineering (highways/infrastructure preferred)
  • Solid understanding of NEC or similar construction contracts
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard QS software/tools
  • Full UK driving licence
  • (Desirable) Progress toward a relevant qualification (HNC/Degree)
  • (Desirable) Familiarity with local authority or framework contracts
