An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven Lettings Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded estate agency in Abingdon. This role offers the chance to take full ownership of a lettings operation within a busy and successful branch, with responsibility for driving performance, increasing market share, and developing a high-performing team. The position would suit either an experienced Lettings Manager seeking a fresh challenge, or a strong Senior Lettings Negotiator ready to step into a management role within a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth in lettings business levels and overall branch revenue
- Conduct rental valuations and secure new instructions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and applicants
- Manage the full lettings process from instruction through to move-in
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members, including conducting regular 1-2-1 meetings
- Ensure all activity is compliant with current lettings legislation and best practice
- Implement effective canvassing and marketing strategies to generate new business
- Identify additional revenue opportunities and refer clients across the wider business where appropriate
- Maintain a strong understanding of the local property market and available stock
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a Senior Lettings or Lettings Manager role
- Proven track record of generating new business and winning instructions
- Strong valuation and listing experience
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Target-driven with a strong commercial mindset
- Professional approach with a high level of customer service
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Property qualifications (e.g. PropertyMark) desirable but not essential
