Are you a hands-on Field Engineer with a passion for technology and a knack for problem-solving? Our client is looking for a Field Engineer with EPOS experience to join their team. As a long-established IT Service Provider, our client delivers top-notch deployment and support services to the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry. Recently, they have strengthened their capabilities through a merger with a global tech company revolutionising the QSR, Hospitality, and Retail sectors.
What you’ll be doing
- Field Maintenance/Installation: You'll be the go-to expert for installing and maintaining EPOS hardware and kiosks. This includes touch-screen terminals, card readers, receipt printers, and barcode scanners. Your role will involve ensuring these systems are installed correctly and functioning optimally.
- Data Cabling: Get your hands dirty with 1st and 2nd fix data cabling, ensuring reliable connectivity and functionality at every site.
- Software Skills: Apply your basic software knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to the client’s customers.
- Power Tools: Confidently operate tools like grinders, impact drivers, and SDS drills to get the job done efficiently and safely.
- Working Environment: Some aspects of the role involve working on customer-facing sites, construction sites, working from heights, and working from confined spaces.
What Our Client Is Looking For
- Experience: A background in retail or QSR is a plus, but if you’ve got the drive and a can-do attitude, the client is ready to train you up.
- Technical Experience: EPOS hardware and kiosks, Data Cabling (Cat5, Cat6), Fiber Cabling, Patch Paneling, Switches, Comms, Units and Routers.
- Certification: CSCS/ECS cardholder preferred.
- Flexibility: Ready and willing to travel, work away from home, and tackle overnight shifts when necessary.
- Problem-Solver: Quick thinking and adaptable, you’re the kind of person who thrives under pressure and loves a good challenge.

Working Hours
Core hours are 8 hour shifts between 6am – 7pm. Overtime and Night shifts will also be available with some overnight travel needed.
