Location: Winchester
Primary School Teaching Assistants required to support students in KS1 and KS2 classes. Successful candidates will need experience of working with 4 - 11 year olds, be reliable, articulate and enthusiastic.
Responsibilities:
- You will be required to support the teacher in providing a safe, interesting and stimulating environment for all children.
- You will work within a friendly team to achieve the aims and objectives of each day and to ensure a high standard of academic, emotional, social and intellectual support throughout the day.
- You may be supporting students who have specific educational needs on a 1:1 basis or helping with whole class activities or working independently with small groups.
Requirements:
- Must have a high level of English comprehension and communication.
- Must have 3 months experience of working in education within the UK.
- Must be calm, understanding, confident and friendly.
- School, children's club, nursery or youth work experience required.
- A desire to help students focus on tasks.
- Understand the need to provide a stimulating, caring and consistent environment for young children.
- Professional, nurturing and 'can do' approach.
- Commitment and dependability within the workplace with ability to use initiative.
