Humly is working closely with 3 schools in their search for a food technology specialist (Portsmouth and Waterlooville). Do you have a passion for teaching practical skills that empower young people for life? We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teachers to join supportive secondary schools in Hampshire and inspire students through creativity, nutrition and cooking.
The Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across KS3 & KS4
- Mark and assess student progress in line with the curriculum
- Encourage creativity, independence, and practical learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Design Technology department
- Contribute to wider school life and uphold school values
The ideal candidate will have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) β ECT's are welcome to apply, or experience of delivering the Food Technology curriculum OR Catering or have a food training background
- Specialism in Food Technology or a related Design Technology subject
- At least 6 months' UK teaching experience
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A creative and approachable teaching style
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
