Qualified Nursery Nurse
- Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week
- Location: A nursery in Marchwood
- Salary: £14 per hour
- Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a dedicated Toddler Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in Southampton on a permanent, long-term basis. This role is ideal for an experienced early years professional who is passionate about supporting toddlers' development, creating engaging learning experiences, and leading a nurturing, supportive room environment.
The Role
- To have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures, and expectations
- To act as an excellent role model to the staff team and children
- To take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practice within the nursery
- To play a part in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS for your key children
- To uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are always adhered to
- To carry out observation, assessment and planning in your room, with your key children, ensuring all children are making progress
- To work with outside professionals where required
- To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families
- To work as part of the team within your room and within thewider setting
Requirements
- Punctual, reliable, and professional
- Relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
- Ability to provide two proofs of address and references for last 2 years
- Willingness to follow safeguarding and EYFS guidelines
