The Role:
- To succeed in this role, you’ll need excellent communication skills and confidence delivering lessons to secondary-aged pupils in the absence of their class teacher.
- Lesson plans, registers, and behaviour management details are provided by the school.
- No planning or marking required (unless you’re in a long-term contract - to be discussed).
- You’ll help to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills.
- Minimum 3 months’ experience in teaching, childcare, coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar.
- Confident communicating with pupils aged 11-16 years.
- Comfortable managing behaviour and maintaining engagement.
- A commitment to participation, development, and learning.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with pupils and staff.
- Willingness to undertake safeguarding training.
