£140 – £235 per day for Qualified Teachers. Long-term contract rates start at M1 £168.80 per day. Unqualified supply cover rates start from £100 per day.

Location: Portsmouth, Havant, Waterlooville, Emworth, Portchester, Fareham, Gosport.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging KS3 and KS4 Mathematics lessons
  • Follow pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring active student participation
  • Develop students’ problem-solving, reasoning, and analytical skills
  • Support learners in building confidence with numeracy and mathematical concepts
  • Uphold each school's values and ethos
  • Collaborate with department members to ensure high-quality learning experiences
  • For long-term assignments: planning, marking, and participation in departmental meetings will be required and paid to scale

Requirements

  • Passion for inspiring young people through mathematics
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) OR a minimum of 3 months school teaching experience within the last 2 years
  • ECTs and overseas-trained teachers welcome to apply
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to engage and challenge learners of all abilities
