Humly are recruiting for Secondary school Drama Teachers and Dance Teachers to support our schools along the Hampshire coast. Due to the increased need for flexible Dance and Drama supply teachers, we are recruiting for specialists (qualified and unqualified) who are seeking ad hoc and regular work on a short and medium term basis. We are also very keen to hear from those seeking long-term or permanent contracts.
You should have experience of teaching these subjects in a school or college setting, have bags of enthusiasm and creativity, as well as excellent communication skills.
Humly are working in partnership with Secondary schools in all areas of Hampshire. This can range from pre-planned daily supply, weekly roles or longer cover requirements, dependent on your preference.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver lessons to secondary aged pupils (11 - 16yrs) in the absence of their class teacher. Lesson plans, registers, behavioural management information, support and resources will be provided by the school.
- Supervising work that has been set in accordance with the school policy.
- Managing the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment.
- Responding to any questions from pupils about process and procedure.
- Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school’s policies and procedures.
- Collecting any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher.
- Reporting back as appropriate using the school’s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.
