What You'll Be Doing
- Providing general KS1 classroom support
- Facilitating early literacy, phonics, numeracy and wider learning activities
- Delivering small‑group and individual pupil support
- Supporting children with SEN and additional needs
- Helping pupils stay focused, confident and engaged
- Maintaining classroom routines and positive behaviour
- Collaborating closely with the class teacher and the wider primary school team
You’ll Be a Good Fit If You…
- Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Primary Teaching Assistant, KS1 Teaching Assistant or classroom support assistant
- Be confident supporting pupils in Year 1 or Key Stage 1
- Be able to support phonics, early reading, writing and numeracy activities
- Have experience supporting children with SEN or additional needs
- Be calm, patient, proactive and reliable
- Be able to support individual pupils, small groups and the wider class
- Commit to a full‑time academic year role from September
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one
- Be willing to complete Humly’s safeguarding and compliance process before placement
