Humly are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to provide in-class support at a primary school in Preston from September 2026. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone confident supporting children within the classroom, including pupils with SEND and additional needs. The school needs a proactive and reliable Primary Teaching Assistant with a strong classroom presence, good behaviour management skills and the ability to support learning, routines and pupil engagement across the school day.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with general classroom support
- In-class support for children with SEND and additional needs
- Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider learning activities
- Small-group support and individual pupil support
- Helping pupils stay focused, confident and engaged
- Supporting classroom routines and positive behaviour
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider primary school team
You’ll Be a Good Fit If You…
- Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Primary Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or classroom support assistant
- Have supported children with SEND or additional needs
- Are confident, firm and consistent in the classroom
- Have good behaviour management skills
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Are proactive, reliable and able to use initiative
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or are willing to apply for one
- Are willing to complete Humly’s safeguarding and compliance process before placement
